Our Wedding

Hi Familia and amigos/as,

I wanted to post up some pictures long overdue of our wedding. Of course I am biased when I say it was a beautiful wedding, but it really was to us. Angel and I were happy surrounded by nothing but love.

Turkiye on my mind...

Last year I had such a fabulous opportunity to go to Turkey for 5 weeks with California's Rotary District 5300. It was an amazing experience! It is interesting that I could be anywhere and I will get spurts of Turkiye on my mind. I ome walking on the beach, on a street, remembering a person's face, remembering the food, the buildings, the streets, the smells, just about anything of Turkiye. I absolutely loved it and plan to go again. Here are some of my favorite pictures from my last few days there. The other four weeks are on another camera:)

Wedding Plans

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well. It is about 2 1/2 months away from my wedding and as you can imagine it has been a lot of fun doing planning, planning and more planning. I have gotten a little overwhelmed but then I stop and say "Liz, you are marrying the amor of your vida, relax! Everything will be ok" Soooo I am writing this to you right now very calm. I have my moments but so far so good, thank God!:)

We have so many friends and family helping us out and I truly, truly am reminded how lucky I am to be surrounded by beautiful people. These images are serving as inspiration for our day...

Welcome 2010!!

Our family on New Year's eve at church. The only one missing is my Angel:(

Well here we are in 2010 and I am so very thrilled, excited and just plain happy that it is here. It's a little nerve-wracking considering that this will be a big year for me but I can't explain it. It's not nerve-wracking like a negative thing but more like "oh, how exciting!" This Christmas and New Year, if it is God's will, was my last as a single gal and it was very, very special for me. I truly enjoyed this break by doing nothing but being with my family the entire time. It was awesome and I thank God everyday that although my brothers and I are in our thirties, we still enjoy being together as a whole with my parents. The other news is that my brother is also engaged!! Yes, two of us are getting married this year and our household is just abuzz with wedding jargon. Looking forward to working on seeking God more and making some attitude adjustments. God isn't finished with me yet, you can say that again. On Christmas eve after opening gifts and eating a wonderful meal prepared by Day. This is us, no more, no less. Just silly....

I LOVE this picture. This is sooo my brother. He is truly a puro corazon guy:)

Me and my chunks, my little brother. Although I can't call him chunks anymore:)

Taking a quick candid after celebrating my dad's 71st birthday. He was so happy!
Juan had to run an errand so he didn't come out in the picture.

Feliz Navidad y Prospero Ano Nuevo!

Life is good and I am getting ready for the holiday action. This is probably one of the busiest and funnest time of the year for me. We have so many activities at church and this year the Sunday school dept. is going to be in charge of the Christmas play. We also want to try something new this year and give out champurrado and posole or burritos before our Christmas service starts. We want to incorporate our community into our church to reach out to them and give them the best gift and news in the word: God gave his son Jesus Christ to be born and to die for their sins!

I'll let you know how it turns out...Wishing you all the best Christmas ever!

It's been a while I know...

But I'm trying to come back. I'm soo excited but I will be leaving to Turkey, in exactly 6 days! Wow. I was chosen to go with the Rotary club and I will be in Turkey for 4 weeks. Since I will already be over there I decided to visit Italy, France and Spain.

I am grateful to God for this opportunity. This is seriously a dream of a lifetime and I am able to do it at 31 years old. 2 months traveling.....God is good and answers prayers in ways that I do not expect. Wow. Please visit our team blog to follow my trip.

Ok, things at my house get craaaazy and i mean CRAZEEE when we get together and play Pictionary. Yes these are the estudiantes and professors, they know how to argue very well. From the beginning, discussing the rules, to ending the game at a certain time because no one wins!

We got tired of the men fighting and decided to pose for a shot.....queso!
